David Rong — International Grand First Prize Winner & Multiple First Prize Recipient
At just 10, David Rong has earned multiple First Prizes in Dallas-area competitions and an international Grand First Prize under Prof. Yibing Zhang’s mentorship.
David Rong — International Grand First Prize Winner & Multiple First Prize Recipient
At just 10 years old, David Rong has already built an extraordinary record of achievement as a young pianist. Over the past several years, he has earned numerous top honors in regional and international piano competitions, demonstrating remarkable musical growth, discipline, and confidence on stage.
David has repeatedly received First Prize recognition at major Dallas-area competitions, including the Dallas Solo Competition, Symphonic Festival Competition, and Plano Trophy Competition. His accomplishments are especially notable for his success across challenging age divisions, consistently distinguishing himself among strong young musicians throughout the region.
David’s achievements have also extended to the international stage. At the 3rd International Piano Competition “Golden Piano Talents,” he and his teacher, Prof. Yibing Zhang, received the Grand First Prize in the Student & Professor discipline. David was also awarded a Special Prize for Best Performance of Joseph Haydn, recognizing the artistic quality of his performance.
David has been personally mentored by B&M Music School Principal Prof. Yibing Zhang, with his training focused on technical development, musical interpretation, repertoire, stage experience, and long-term artistic growth. Their work together also received international recognition through the Student & Professor Grand First Prize.
David’s journey reflects what B&M Music School values most: talent supported by disciplined training, thoughtful mentorship, and a long-term commitment to musical excellence.
